The students really like the game aspect of LiteracyPlanet. There are other programs out there that do not make the learning fun.
Students at Bilkent Laboratory and International School (BLIS) typically don’t have a wealth of opportunities to practice crucial English literacy concepts outside of the classroom. BLIS needed a resource that would be able to encourage this kind of behaviour on a regular basis. LiteracyPlanet proved to be the perfect match, providing content that is thorough and curriculum aligned, but also engaging enough to encourage students to revise these important concepts in their own time.
Students at BLIS are encouraged to use technology in the classroom. Young grades have shared iPads, older grades have Chromebook devices and students are encouraged to use online programs in assignments whenever it’s relevant.
LiteracyPlanet is being used to consolidate concepts covered in the classroom and supplement learning in extra areas.
